Get Involved
Energy + Environment OpenCourseWare is a collaborative effort among
educators, researchers, and professionals in the energy and environment
area. We welcome our involvement. There are a number of ways to support our mission:
Course Materials
Development
Materials are contributed on a voluntary basis. We
welcome new submissions for course modules in the energy and
environment subject areas. Submissions are reviewed
by our curriculum panel before being placed on the site for
distribution.
Guidance for Contributing Authors
Please see Guidance for
Contributing Authors for our style guide, sample slides, copyright and other information for those interested in contributing course materials.
University Training Centers
Energy + Environment OCW is seeking to expand course offerings
in several languages and locations.
We are currently active in China through our China Energy +
Environment OpenCourseWare program and we plan to expand to India
in the imediate future.
Universities interested in becoming training centers for Energy +
Environment OCW in these or other countries should be prepared to
support the following activities:
Translation
Course Development
Teacher Training Centers
Financial Support
Energy + Environment OCW is currently seeking financial support from
foundations, individuals and the private sector. The Energy +
Environment Foundation is in the process of qualifying for 501(c)(3)
tax exempt status. Pending approval, all donations are tax
deductible.
Donations to Energy + Environment OCW are used to defray the cost of
maintaining a web-presence, translating materials and services when
needed. Because Energy + Environment is a voluntary effort among
individuals and institutions, 100% of donations are applied to direct
expenses of developing materials and making them accessible.
